spofforths scoop awards of excellence

Three Chartered Students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales who are currently working with Spofforths LLP collected awards of excellence from the South Eastern Society of Chartered Accountants’ (SESCA) at a prestigious annual industry dinner held at The Felbridge Hotel and Spa, East Grinstead on Saturday 22nd October, where Roger Black MBE was guest speaker.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) President Gerald Russell presented Spofforths’ successful students with their prize certificates and a celebratory bottle of Champagne each.

Jake Standing, based in Spofforths’ Worthing office won 1st place in the Professional stage Financial Accounting paper in June 2010; John Francis, based at Spofforths’ Horsham office won 1st place in the Professional stage Audit and Assurance paper taken in December 2009 and Claire Stevens, also based in Horsham, was presented with a prize for 9th place in the Professional stage Annual Order of Merit - an overall achievement of all papers taken in that year covering the South Eastern region.
