Spofforths Private Client Services is delighted to sponsor a unique fundraising event which will feature a talk about one of Horsham's most notorious murderers – The Acid Bath Murderer.  It is being held at Lavinia House, on Friday 3rd February 2012, to mark the Golden Jubilee for Age UK Horsham District.

Tickets to the event are already selling fast as people are securing tables for between 8 and 10 guests.  They are eager to listen to David Briffet, former editor of the West Sussex County Times, speak about John George Haigh.  He was a feared English serial killer during the 1940s.  Following the talk guests will be provided with a light meal.

Philip Lansberry, Director of Spofforths Private Client Services and Director of Age UK Horsham, commented: “David Briffett, has very kindly agreed to reveal all of the secrets behind the macabre murders and strange goings on committed by John Haigh, better known to all of us locals as The Acid Bath Murderer.  David is in great demand to speak about Haigh so I am absolutely delighted he has agreed to entertain us all and help us to raise funds for Age UK Horsham District.”

Reception is at 7.30 pm and the talk begins at 8.00 pm.

Tickets cost £12.50 and are available from Lavinia House, Dukes Square, Horsham or call 01403 260560. Credit/debit cards are accepted. Please make any cheques payable to Age UK Horsham District.
