spofforths scoop business marketing and promotion of the year award

Spofforths scooped the Business Marketing and Promotion of the Year Award at the Adur and Worthing Business Awards on 8th October 2011.  We proudly sponsored the prestigious event, hosted by TV presenter Fred Dinenage, as it brings together the best of the local business community.  We are also delighted that Spofforths was highly commended in the Business in the Community Award category. 

The event, attended by 270 guests, was held at the Pavilion Theatre in Worthing.  There were seventeen award categories in total and Spofforths Partner Chay Took was invited to help judge the entries this year.  It was particularly tough as there were so many strong applications and Spofforths was nominated for three awards.  Chay did not participate in the judging for these categories which included Business in the Community, Business Marketing and Promotion and Medium to Large Business of the Year.  

Following the awards ceremony Chay commented: “The event was fantastic and it provided the perfect opportunity for the business community to get together and network.  It was good to see so many local business people being rewarded for their hard work and achievements over the last year.  We were delighted to receive the Business Marketing and Promotion of the Year Award as we work hard to raise awareness about our business services, including accountancy and taxation, through various marketing channels.” 

Having won an award we are now automatically entered into the Southern Business Awards 2012.  We received the Employer of the Year Award in 2010 and hope to build on our success.  The Southern Business Awards rounds up the winners of the Chichester, Portsmouth, Worthing, Hastings, Eastbourne, Sussex Express and Horsham Business Awards and overall winners are chosen from 19 award categories.
