CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IN HORSHAM

Spofforths Private Client Services sponsored Horsham’s first ever Christmas charity market on Sunday 29th November. The event ran successfully in the face of some at times, very challenging weather conditions. Volunteers supported by Horsham District Council, worked to bring some seasonal cheer to the town centre and in doing so supported not only their own charitable groups but also the many local shops vying for the customers’ Christmas pounds.
The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Horsham in association with Horsham Markets and Spofforths Private Client Services covered the hire costs for each stall. Over twenty charities took part and used the stand space to present a fantastic selection of gifts, food and competitions.
Philip Lansberry, Director of Spofforths Private Client Services, commented: “Despite the wet weather visitors turned out to see the charity stands and we were grateful for their support. We handed out around 150 Spofforths balloons, bringing a smile to many faces. The event organisation was fantastic and it was a pleasure to work with Horsham District Council and the Rotary Club. Undaunted by the rain this year, we plan to hold a Christmas charity market in 2011 and hope that the weather is kinder to us.”
