spofforths launches new services for private clients
Spofforths Chartered Accountants has launched a new private client division. Its extensive portfolio of existing services will be expanded to include the provision of wills, powers of attorney, trusts and estate administration. It is one of the first accountancy practices in the South East to offer this package.
The new operation will serve clients throughout South East England. It will be available throughout Spofforths offices in Sussex. The firm is expanding its comprehensive package of accounting, tax and personal finance services to create a fully integrated one-stop shop to meet all its private clients’ financial requirements.
“We are broadening the base of our services to our private clients to include a fully comprehensive probate, will writing, power of attorney and extended trust services with the appointment of two specialist advisers, Philip Lansberry and Kai Lei Lee,” said head of tax Bryan Elkins.
“Keeping up to date with the law and the tax system is becoming increasingly difficult as these are not areas of life that people generally encounter on a day to day basis. To meet the demands imposed by today’s more complicated environment, we are adding greater scope to the portfolio of our private client services. Our aim is to enhance – even further – the quality of our response to changing market conditions. We believe that this will give our clients greater flexibility to achieve their planning goals and to give them the opportunity to have everything dealt with under one roof.”
Spofforths currently provides unbiased personal finance planning, specialist advice on personal taxes such as income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax and estate planning services for its extensive network of clients.
Philip and Kai Lei have extensive experience and knowledge of the practice areas and are delighted to have teamed up with Spofforths. Philip said: “This is a fantastic opportunity not only to act for new clients who like the idea of their financial affairs being dealt with under one roof but also to strengthen further Spofforths existing client base and relationships with other professionals”.He has worked during the length of his career for law firms based in Horsham, advising clients across Sussex, London and throughout the South East. He specialises in working alongside families, other professionals and businesses. Philip became a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 1991 and is on the specialist panel of advisers for MENCAP. He is also a director of Age Concern, Horsham.
Kai Lei has worked with Philip previously for some years and became a member of STEP in 2008. She qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and said: “Joining such a well respected firm of accountants can only enhance my career and offers me new and exciting challenges which I am very much looking forward to”.
