employers - do nothing about pensions!
The national media has recently begun to wake up to the fact that it is only a year or so until the new pension laws come into place. In simple terms, these rules will mean that every employer will have to pay contributions into a pension scheme for nearly every employee in the UK. However, little attention has been given to the fact that most employers will have to do absolutely nothing until the spring of 2014. Only the very largest employers will have to act next year.
We recently joined the Mumpreneurs Networking Club (MNC) to celebrate the launch of the organisations fantastic new app. The event in Brighton marked a great achievement for the founders who have now received 5,000 visits through their club doors. The Local Enterprise Partnership; Coast to Capital is hosting clinics in Brighton, Crawley and Arun & Chichester to inform businesses about Coast to Capital’s Business Growth grants and offer assistance to firms with their applications.
Earlier this month it was announced that more than 300 new jobs will be created from the grants awarded by the Coast to Capital Business Growth Grant scheme to businesses across the region, including Brighton and Hove, Croydon, Gatwick Diamond, Lewes and West Sussex throughout 2014.

From 27 July 2016 a new simpler system is being rolled out for registering land on which livestock is kept. The Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs are in the process of contacting those affected, and livestock keepers do not need to do anything until they are contacted.
The scheme launched by Coast to Capital is available to small to medium sized businesses looking to expand and create jobs in West Sussex. The Business Growth Grants have a funding allocation of £.4 million - more than double the figure awarded to 29 businesses last year. The grants range from £15,000 to £100,000.
