At the Southern Business Awards gala evening on Friday September 28 I was delighted to present the Innovation category award to Anthony Robins of Paint-with-Light. This company has invented a process of using a completely black space to allow a long camera exposure. The result is that you can "paint" and annotate objects or create the most extraordinary pictures including freezing motion with light. The Prime Minister has pledged additional support for small businesses and promised £2,000 worth of expertise and advice to 20,000 small businesses, as part of a new growth voucher pilot scheme championed by Lord Young, the PM’s enterprise adviser. The scheme matches business leaders with mentors to help them grow, through a marketplace-style website.
