I attended the fantastic 2011 Horsham Unlimited Dressed for Success Business Awards’ at the Capitol Theatre on 19 January. Twelve awards were handed out during the evening to the business people who received the most public votes for their Christmas shop windows. Spofforths sponsored the Christmas Window campaign which was organised by Horsham Unlimited – Horsham’s town centre business partnership. It focused on promoting the town and running window dressing training sessions for retailers over the festive period.
Twelve awards were handed out during the evening with Woodlands picking up the Best Property Agent, James Clothing winning Best Fashion and Carmela Restaurant winning Best Restaurant, Pub or Bar. Horsham Museum & Art Gallery won the Best Non-Retail prize, while Little Black Olive won Best Café or Coffee Shop and Mayfair Hair won Best Independent. Accessorize picked up the Quirkiest prize and West Street was voted Best Area. The Most Voted For prize went to Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe while the Best Market Stalls were as follows: 1st place – Just Brownies, 2nd place – Bookish England and 3rd place Button Becky.
