Community
At Spofforths we focus our community work on the areas closest to our offices and we are proud to support a number of events and charities. Our staff have strong links with the local community and work with organisations to encourage growth and development across Sussex.
We take a proactive approach when it comes to helping in the community and throughout 2011 we have been involved with some exciting projects, sponsorships and fundraising activities.
Worthing & Adur Fund
Spofforths were one of the lead founder donors to the Worthing & Adur Fund, a local resource for charities and community groups. This new Fund began distributing grants in October 2011.
Bowls England Men’s Champion of Champions Competition 2011
We have sponsored the Bowls England Men’s National Champion of Champions competition for the last two years.
Dressed for Success
Spofforths is sponsoring the 2011 Christmas windows campaign in Horsham. The town’s retailers are being encouraged to take part in the project to provide customers with an exceptional Christmas shopping experience.
Horsham Unlimited
Spofforths is a member of Horsham Unlimited, the Town Centre Business Partnership, and we work closely with other partners to help encourage business growth in the area.
Worthing Rugby Football Club
The Spofforths family has been associated with the rugby club since the 1950’s, as players and sponsors.
Worthing and Southern Business Awards 2011
Spofforths has supported the well-known awards for two years running. We have helped to raise awareness about the prestigious events through our sponsorships and PR activities.
Business Mums Summit 2011
After the success of the business mums conference in Brighton 2010, we decided to sponsor the BusinessMums Summit 2011. We are delighted to support the largest and highest profile event for the ‘mumpreneur’ community.
Remember A Charity
Spofforths Private Client Services team has joined a Campaign Supporter Scheme which promotes charitable giving in Wills. The Remember A Charity initiative is aimed at making legacy giving a social norm. Spofforths work with a number of local charities and understand how important these gifts are.
Champion tenpin bowler Lisa John
We sponsor tenpin bowling champion and Spofforths employee Lisa John, who is based in our Worthing office. Lisa enjoyed success in the European Champions Cup 2011 in Finland where she won a bronze medal.
